Overview

The safari visits four beautiful parks in Kenya. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, 5895m Kilimanjaro, is one of the most popular of Kenya’s national parks. Lake Nakuru has best been known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores and also rich wildlife including Rothschild giraffes and black rhinos.
The Mara is the land of African legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and less commonly the Rhino.

DAY 1: NAIROBI – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

On Arrival at JKIA international airport, or pick up at a central point in Nairobi,you will be met by our representative and briefed on your safari.
Depart Nairobi and drive south to Amboseli National Park. Game viewing en route to your lodge with the immense grandeur of Mt Kilimanjaro in the background. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon at leisure. Enjoy an evening game drive. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, 5895m Kilimanjaro, is one of the most popular of Kenya’s national parks. Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at 5,896 meters, is the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of elephant accompanied by lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest. There are also over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa.

DAY 2: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Another exciting day in Amboseli National Park, we recommend that you get up early morning where one can experience excellent game viewing & an unprecedented view of the snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your Camp/lodge for breakfast. You may opt for an additional game drive after breakfast to visit the swamp with its magnificent wildlife present all day long or simply relax at your lodge/camp and take in the African wilderness. Afternoon game drives in anticipation of seeing the “BIG FIVE”.

DAY 3: AMBOSELI – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at the lodge. Depart and drive via Nairobi towards the Great Rift Valley viewing scenery en route arriving to the pink lake often referred so due to it’s great masses of flamingos.check in at the lodge/camp,after lunch proceed for a game drive in the park with numerous animals. During the game drive you will see the huge numbers of flamingos which are concentrated along the lake shore. In addition to the bird life for which Lake Nakuru is so well known there are many different wildlife species in the park including lion, leopard, Black rhino, White rhino, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, zebra, impala and waterbuck. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.


DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

On this day you will have an early morning game drive before breakfast to try to find leopard which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru Park and return to the lodge/camp for breakfast. After breakfast you will take a further drive to seek out the 2 species of rhino found in the park, returning before lunch. The afternoon is at leisure, relaxing by the lodge swimming pool before an evening game drive in the park.Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp

DAY 5:  LAKE NAKURU – MASAI MARA 

Early breakfast. Depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve which is 259 km south along the floor of the great rift valley then past Narok climb the western wall entering Hemingway’s country ”Serengeti plains”. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon enjoy a game drive in this famous reserve. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp

DAY 6: MASAI MARA

Full day at this famous reserve searching for wild game with an option to enjoy a balloon safari.You can carry picnic lunch or have lunch at the lodge/camp.visit to masai villages is an option

The Mara is the land of African legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature’s few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this trip. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara’s birds, occur in the reserve. As well as wildlife, the Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park – Morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day. Return to the lodge/camp in the evening.

DAY 7: MASAI MARA – NAIROBI

Breakfast at the camp/lodge.  Depart for Nairobi with game drive enroute. A stop is provided at Narok Town the Masai city where you can buy handicrafts and souvenirs.

On arrival drop off at a city hotel, or transfer to the airport for final departure.
